| Bio: | The metaphysical half of life fascinates me. It is so critical a part of everyday existence, yet so poorley understood. Metaphysical, simply put, is that which is real but not physical. A concept, a mood, an idea, a design prior to it's manifestation, possibility, allegience, curiosity... Who would deny that these things are real? The metaphysical plays a huge part in our lives. Documentation of our thoughts is often the only physical proof that they even happen. Nobody else knows most of the stuff that I think, yet my musing is by far the realest thing that I am. My physical world is a reaction of my metaphysical world. I am beginning to realize that I am way more tuned in to metaphysical nature than most people. It has a lot to do with my narcoleptic cycles of ascent and descent through various levels of consciousness. Anyway, there are a few generas out there that try to address the nature of metaphysics. But when it comes to practical understanding of the metaphysical nature of human beings, a new genera is needed. Religion does a horrible (often counterproductive) job of conveying understanding. Science only deals in the physical. Too many philosophers get hung up on justifying themselves before other philosophers. Occult often uses language to cloak itself in mystery, achieving the opposite affect. Psychology is the closest, but needs a revolution. I simply want to put together elemental knowledge of metaphysics for practical use by the secular world... any thoughts? | |||||
